Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University was set up in 1984, in Pune
by the well known Patangrao Kadam, the Indian educationist and politician. The
university was established with a motto to bring “intellectual awakening of
people through the spread of education" and to "arrange human
resources that are required for all over progress of the country". This institution
chain has spread countrywide namely at, Satara, Panchgani, Pune, New Delhi, Mumbai,
Kolhapur, Karad, etc.
From the day university established, till today, it is
taking its roots so far… Presently, Bharati Vidyapeeth University has four
campuses in Balewadi, Kothrud, Pune at Katraj (Dhankawadi) and Lavale.
