Eligibility Criteria:

Contestants, who are interested to apply for exam, may full fill the below given eligibility criteria:
  • For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates must have completed 12th Standard of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Applicants must have completed 12th Standard of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Want to Know?How to Join NDA After 12th

(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be:
                      i.        a citizen of India, or
                     ii.        a subject of Bhutan, or
                    iii.        a subject of Nepal, or
                   iv.        a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
            v.        a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Limitation on Age:

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2001 are eligible.

Application Fee:
  • Candidates need to submit fee of Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
  • SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Candidates must deposit the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore.
Mode of Selection:
  • Admission to the above mentioned courses will be made on results of Written Examination to be conducted by the Commission followed by Intelligence and Personality Test by the Services Selection Board of candidates who qualify in the written examination.
  • Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/ remaining tests.

Intelligence and Personality Test:
  • Intelligence and Personality Test comprises two stages i.e. Stage I and Stage II.
  • Stage I contains Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception * Description Test (PP&DT).
  • Stage II comprises Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.
National Defence Academy Syllabus:

Examination is held on basic skills on Mathematics and General Ability Test and Brief details about syllabus can be obtained by below given link.
  • Mathematics: It includes many topics like Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability and Probability.
  • General Ability: This test contains English, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History Freedom Movement etc. and Current Events.

Instructions during Examination:
  • There is negative marking also for very wrong answer.
  • To marks answer in the OMR sheet (Answer Sheet) candidates must use black ball pen only any other colour Pens are prohibited.
  • Candidates are informed that gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall such as mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth etc. 
Essential Requirement in Brief:

  • The age of the aspirant must lie between 16.5 to 19 years
  • Candidate’s height should be 157cm at minimum
  • Candidate’s marital status should be unmarried
  • Candidates must have minimum 12th passed from any recognized Board

Those candidates who will successfully qualified the Written Test they will be called for appearing for SSB interview. Candidates, who are appearing for the first time for a particular type of Commission i.e. Permanent or Short Service, shall be entitled for AC III Tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits.

Way to fill NDA Registration Form:

Eligible and qualified applicants may follow below stated steps to fill NDA Online Application Form before the last date, please have a look…
  • Contenders will have to visit official website of Union Public Service Commission which is www.upsconline.nic.in.
  • On home page select “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC”.
  • A new page will open, choose “Press Here” link for Part I Registration.
Part-I Registration:
  • In Part-I Registration, candidates are required to fill the personal details, qualification and address details.
  • After filling all the details hit on the “Continue” button.
  • After filling NDA Online Application Form, candidates are required to choose the branch preference and hit on “Continue” button.
  • Check all the details carefully and hit on “I Agree” button.
  • Registration number will be generated, candidates are required to note down the registration number for future use
Part-II Registration:
  • After that, candidates need to hit “Part-II Registration” link.
  • Enter your registration ID and DOB and hit on “Submit” button and now hit on “Payment” option.
  • Now make payment of application fee through visa, master, debit card or net banking or through the cash payment in SBI branch.
  • Now go through the “Center Selection” link.
  • Select the exam center and hit on “Submit” button
  • Upload your scanned photo and signature along with application and press “Continue” button.
  • Hit on the “Agreeing to Declaration” option.
  • Read the declaration carefully and hit “I have read declaration & agree”.
  • Now candidates can take printout of NDA Online Application Form future use.
Documents/Details Required at the Time of Filling NDA Online Application Form:
  • Payment details
  • Personal, qualification, guardian and communication details
  • Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
  • Scanned photograph with 140 pixels height x 110 pixels width. Image should be in jpg format and the image size should not exceed 40kb.
  • Scanned signature. Signature should be made with black ink pen on white paper. Image should be in jpg format and meet the 110 pixels height x 140 pixels width dimensions. Image sized should not exceed 40kb.

  10. I want to apply for N.D.A and I am having a problem with me that my Teachers and friends advise me for P.C.M but my intrest is not in subjects like physics chem..
    But I am good at mathematics so, can I easily apply for N.D.A
