Boson, New Sub-Atomic Particle discovered by Scientists at CERN
On July 4, 2012 - A
European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN’s Scientist recently discovered
a particle which named as Higgs Boson or God’s Particle. This discovery is
being measured to a new era as opportunity in understanding the universe's vast
secrecy including dark matter. The particle was known as ‘Higgs Boson’ after Peter
Higgs and Indian physicist Satyendra
Nath Bose. The term ‘God Particle’
was first used by Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leon Lederman. Now it is more admired term for Higgs Boson which describes
how the subatomic universe works and got started.
and Tourism Activities Near Jarawa Habitat was banned by Indian Supreme Court
On July 3, 2012 -
Indian Supreme Court stated the area within a 5 km radius around the Jarawa
Tribal Reserve in Andaman and Nicobar Islands no go zone. The Apex Court
banned all commercial and tourism activities near the Jarawa habitat. Jarawas
are one of the oldest living native people in the world. The tribe has their
home in the forests of the Andaman Islands in India. The present number of
Jarawa tribe is approximate to be about 250-400. Jarawas have been living in
the forests of the Andaman Islands for past many years.

The Supreme Court of India refuses to amuse
the Union Government’s entreaty seeking a stay on High Court of Andhra Pradesh
order suppressing a 4.5% sub-quota for the minorities in educational
institutions and jobs in Public sectors in the existing OBC quota.
III. PETROL PRICES RAISED BY RUPEES 7.54/LITRE
Oil marketing companies has increased the
Petrol Prices by 7.54 rupees per litre to 73.18 rupees. The unchanged items are
Diesel, LPG and kerosene oil. The recent increase in prices of petrol
makes the cost of petrol at Rs.78.57/- per litre in Mumbai, Similarly in
Kolkata the rate of petrol is increased to 77.88 rupees and in Chennai it hikes
to 77.53 rupees up. This is the highest one-time hike in petrol prices against
the previous instances of price hike.
