How Many Zones Are Available in Indian Railway? Check To Know


Previously we have discussed that Indian Railways is separated into 17 zones and it further sub-divided into divisions. In Indian Railways, the number of zones enlarged from 06 to 08 in 1951, 09 in 1966 and 16 in 2003. Are You Eligible For Indian Railways?

In Indian railways, there are less requirement and eligibility criteria to get placed. For applicants who are enthusiastic to get job in Indian railways must get prepared and qualify RRB Exam. Technical Cadre:

For Non- Technical Category:
  • Civil Services Exam is conducted for selection in Grade C services which include Assistant Station Master, Clerks, Ticket Collector and more.
  • The eligibility condition is that the applicant must be between 18 to 30 years with a 10th/ 12th Certificate.
  • In both these categories SC and ST have a relaxation of up to 5 years and OBC for 3 years.
