AFCAT Result 2016: Indian Air Force has announced AFCAT Result of Air Force Common Admission Test 1/ 2016. The IAF was conducted the AFCAT on 21 February 2016 and 13 March 2016 and huge number of candidates have appeared in this exam. Now the organization has declared the List of Candidates shortlisted for the next phase of testing at Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs).

Only those candidates who have cleared both AFCAT and EKT will be considered for Technical Branch. A candidate who has been shortlisted are required to login to their account and select the venue and date for further testing round at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) before last date for selection of AFSB venue that is 10 April 2016.

Indian Air Force (IAF) performs Air Force Common Admission Test exam twice in a year for those candidates who want to make their career in IAF. Candidates who are short-listed on the basis of (AFCAT/ EKT) now can apply for testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara.


How to Check AFCAT Exam Results?

Candidates follow the below mentioned steps to get Indian Air Force AFCAT Result easily.
  • Firstly contenders need to visit the official website www.careerairforce.nic.in.
  • On this home page there is a section named as ‘what’s new’, navigate it for appropriate link and hit it.
  • As you press on that link, selection list will be opened on your computer screen in PDF format.
  • Now check their AFCAT Numbers to ensure their selection
  • After that download AFCAT Result and take a print out of it.
Every year the Indian Air force conducts the examination to select the capable and talented candidates on various vacant positions and innumerable applicants participate in this examination. Selection of deserving contenders will be based on Air Force Common Admission Test, Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT), Psychological test, Group Tests, Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) and Interview


AFCAT Cut Off:

Candidates has been shortlisted on the basis of the induction requirements of the IAF, performance of candidates in AFCAT as well as statistics of reporting and success rates at AFSBs, the cut off marks for AFCAT 1/ 2016 is 132/ 300 for AFCAT and 52/ 150 for EKT

Further Process:
  • Qualified candidates are required to login to their account and select the venue and date for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) before closing date for selection of AFSB venue that is 10 April 2016.
  • Candidates are required to print the Call up Letter from the website
  • Must report to their selected venue along with Call Up letter, AFCAT Admit Card and other documents as listed in the Call Up letter.
  • Candidates are advised to take a print out of call up letter immediately after selecting date and venue of AFSB.
  • Shortlisted candidates who fail to select their AFSB schedules by 10 April 2016 would be allotted their AFSB batches by the IAF by 14 April 2016
General Instructions for before reporting AFSB
  • Aspirants carefully read and follow the General Instructions available on www.careerairforce.nic.in before reporting to AFSB.
  • Candidates who have applied only for Flying Branch are to select 1 AFSB (Dehradun), 2 AFSB (Mysore) or 4 AFSB (Varanasi) as their AFSB centre.
  • Airmen candidates who have appeared for SSB for more than six times should NOT (R) NOT select 5 AFSB (Kancharapara) as SSB venue. If unable to, contact JDPO-3(A/B) Air HQ (VB).

Documents to be carried for AFSB:

Candidates who want to appear for further rounds should bring Air Force Common Admission Test with Call Up letter, AFCAT Admit Card and other documents as listed in the Call Up letter like:
  • Passport,
  • Driving licence,
  • Voter identity card,
  • College identity card,
  • Any other valid photo identity proof.

Important Date:
  • Last date for selection of AFSB venue:10 April 2016
  • Candidates who fail to select their AFSB schedules by 10 April 2016 would be allotted their AFSB batches by the IAF by 14 April 2016.
