Candidates who got highest marks but did not afford higher studies due to financial problems they can take benefit of this Scheme which is offered by the Govt. of India. They can apply for this scholarship by submitting the Minorities application form before the MOMA scholarship last date and also once scholarship awarded you can renewal it from the month of November. Minority Affairs Scholarship:

This scholarship is divided into three types:
  • Pre Matric
  • Post Matric
  • Merit Cum Means
Features of the Scholarships:
  • About 30% of scholarships are allocated for girl students under this Scholarship Scheme, Programme.
  • Only 2 students are eligible to take advantages of this award from Each Family.
  • MOMA Scholarships are particularly for those States, where the population of minorities is high.
  • All the students who want to take benefit of this scholarship they must have secured not less than 50% marks in previous final exam.
  • This scheme is approved by the state government or the UT administration.
  • Students are awarded under this scholarships Scheme throughout the country, every year about 20,000 minority communities.
Pre Matric Scholarship:

The main motive of this scholarship is to encourage the parents to send their children to school especially for those who belong to minority community and they can support financially to those parents under this scholarship. This scholarship for those students who are studying in school class 1 to 10th .

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Those candidates who have secured at-least 50% marks in their previous examination can get this scholarship also annual income of their family should not be more than 1 lakh.
  • In this pre matric scholarship, Girls students will get 30% of scholarship.
Rate Of This Scholarship:

Day scholars
Admission fee from class VI to X
Rs.500/- per annum
Tuition fee from class VI to X
Rs.350/- per month
Class I to V
Rs. 100/- per month
Class VI to X
Rs. 600/- per month

Post Matric Scholarship:

Those students who want to get education after 11th like if any candidate want to do graduation/ post graduation/PHD can get support under this scholarship through the state government.

Eligibility Limit:
  • This scholarship will be given to those students whose parent’s annual income should not exceed 2 lakh.
  • If any student from below poverty line (BPL) then preference will be given to them.
Annual Income:
  • The annual income (from all sources) of the student’s parents or guardian should be less than Rs. 2 lakh.
  • The MOMA Scholarships to be provided to candidates in the ascending order from the lowest order from Below Poverty Line (BPL) Families.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

Under this scholarship, students can get higher education after 12th like if they wanna do professional and technical courses from the private or government institutes of India they will get financial help through this scholarship.

Eligibility Of This Scholarship:

The annual income of parents should not more than 2.50 lakh to get this scholarship. Total number of scholarship is 60,000 in all the states. You also can benefit of this MOMA renewal after some time.
