APPSC Selection Procedure

APPSC Group 1 Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates will be done on basis of their performance in Written Examination which includes (Screening Test and Main Examination) and Personal Interview.

Written Examination:
  • The written examination includes Screening Test and Main Examination. First, candidates need to qualify the Screening Test (Objective Type). This exam comprising of General Studies & Mental Ability & the paper contains 150 objective type questions carries 150 maximum marks.
  • Those candidates who will qualify in the Screening Test (Objective Type) may appear for Mains exam.
  • The Main examination consists of five conventional type papers with conventional type questions They are Paper – I, II, III, IV, V and one General English paper.
  • The General English paper is of qualifying in nature and the paper is in S.S.C standard and this paper marks are not counted for Final Ranking.
  • Those candidates who will clear the Main Examination may attend the Personal Interview.

Personal Interview:
  • Applicants who will qualify the Main Examination will be called for Interview in 1:2 ratios on merit basis.
  • Maximum marks for Interview is 75.
  • Minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PH candidates is 247.50/825, for BC’s 288.75/825 and others 330/825.
  • In interview organization, will ask questions from Attitude’s, Decision Makings, Leadership Qualities etc
  • The final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidate’s in Written Examination, and Oral Test taken together.

APPSC Group 2 Selection Procedure

Candidate’s appointment will be done on basis of their performance in Screening Test and Main Examination and Interview / Document Verification.

Written Examination:

The written examination includes Screening Test and Main Examination. First, candidates need to qualify the Screening Test (Objective Type). Screening Test is of 150 marks.
Candidates who will clear the Screening Test may appear for Main Examination which is of 450 marks It consists of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III. The minimum qualifying marks for candidates is given below…
v  SC/ST/PH Categories: 135 Marks
v  BC Category: 157.5 Marks
v  Others Categories: 180 Marks

Interview / Document Verification
  • Only those candidates who will qualify in the Main Examination may appear for Interview / Document Verification.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for selection are OCs 40%, BCs 35%, SCs, STs & PHs 30% or as per rules.
  • The final selection of candidates for appointment to the posts shall be based on the merit in the Computer Based Main Examination.

APPSC Group 4 Selection Procedure

After screening of candidates, shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Examination and Documents Verification.

Written Examination:
  • The written examination conducted by organization is of objective type mode which includes Paper I, II.
  • Paper I consists of General Studies and Concerned Subjects; Paper II consists of Secretarial Abilities and Concerned Subjects.
  • Each Paper carries 150 marks for 150 questions and its time duration is 2: 30 hours.
  • The appearance in all the papers at the Written Examination is compulsory.

Document Verification:
