UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:
  • Applying candidate should have degree of post graduation with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university or an institute.
  • Aspirants who are in final year of Post graduation, they can also apply.
  • Candidates who are belonging to reserved category, they can apply with minimum 50% marks also.
  • Applicants who have Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. like subjects, only those candidates can apply for this.
  • Ph.D degree holders will get 5% relaxation who completed post graduation in the year 19-09-1991.

Age Criteria:
  • The maximum age of applying candidate should be 28 years as on 1st January 2018.
  • OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PWD category candidates will get relaxation of 5 years.
  • Applicants who have experience of research, they will also get some relaxation according to government rules.
  • Aspirants who are possessing LL.M. degree will be get 3 years relaxation in age.

Application Fee:

Candidates who are going to fill application form they are informed that their submission of application form will not complete without submission of application fee. The organization has fixed an amount as an application fee which is compulsory to pay for every applying candidate. The details of application fee are given below.   • For general category candidates – Rs. 600/- only
  • For OBC category candidates – Rs. 300/- only
  • SC ST/ PWD category candidates – Rs. 150/- only

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018:
  • The question paper will be consisting 3 papers.
  • The question paper will be includes total 185 questions.
  • Question paper will be divided into three papers which are
  1. Paper I will consist total 60 questions from which only 50 questions should be attempt by the student.
  2. Paper II will be consist 50 questions and paper III will include 75 questions.
  • The questions in Paper I will be based on General Aptitude Questions and Paper II and paper III will include questions related to the concerned subject.
  • Aspirants have right to choose their question paper mode that can be of Hindi or English according to their preference.
  • There will be no negative marking applied, each right answer will allotted 2 marks.
  • Paper-1 and Paper-II will be of 1 hours and 30 minutes while Paper-III will be of 2 hour and 30 minutes.
