ESIC Exam Pattern

ESIC exam generally follow this pattern-

Paper I: This paper consist of multiple choice questions of objective type. The duration of the Examination is two hours.

Paper is compromised in to four parts

Numerical Ability
50 Marks
English Language  
50 Marks
General Intelligence
50 Marks
General Awareness 
50 Marks

Paper II: This paper is based on Computer Skill Test. Candidates, who are passed above cut-off in Paper-I will be allowed for Paper-II.

The Computer Skill Test consists of three parts:

The total marks of the Computer Skill Test shall be 50 (Fifty).The duration of the test is 30 minutes.

Preparation of two Power Point Presentations/Slides on MS-Power Point
10 Marks
Typing a letter/passage/paragraph of about 150-200 words in MS-Word  
20 Marks
Preparation of Table/Database in MS-Excel  
20 Marks

Eligibility of SSO / Staff Nurse / UDC exam

Educational Qualification
  • For Upper Division Clerk/ Social Security Officers: Candidates should have a Degree from a recognized university or equivalent and working knowledge of computer including use of Office suites and databases.
  • For Staff Nurse: Applicants must have Degree in Nursing or B.Sc. or equivalent from any accepted institute / University. Registration with the Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council is mandatory.

Age Limitation

  • For Upper Division Clerk/Staff Nurse: Minimum age of the applicants should be 18 years and Maximum 27 years.
  • Social Security Officers: Age of the contenders must be in between the range of 21 to 27 years.
