State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab has invited applications for Punjab TET 2018 i.e. PSTET-I & PSTET-II which is to be conducted on 31-12-2017 for those who want to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to V and VI to VIII. Eligible and interested candidates for PS Teacher Eligibility Test can apply online and fill Punjab TET 2018 Application Form. But before you submit PSTET Exam Form you are advised to go through PSTET Notification and ensure your eligibility. PSTET 2018 is conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab to recruit willing teachers under Punjab Private Schools and Government Schools. Recruited applicants will be permitted to take up classes from Standard 1st to Standard 8th. Punjab TET Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants those who are interested to give Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 are required to go through below provided eligibility conditions to appear in PSTET Exam 2018.

For Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
  • Contenders must have completed 12th/Intermediate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year diploma in Elementary education. OR
  • 12th class with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in elementary education. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
  • Applicants must have done Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Payment Mode:

Credit/Debit CardTo pay fee directly aspirants can use Master/Visa Credit/Debit Card.

Net BankingNet banking facility is also provided to some listed banks, applying contenders can submit their fee through the net banking also.

Printing Of Bank Challan: Aspirants can opt. the bank where he/she interested to deposit the examination fee and will take the print of bank challan (two copies-one for candidate & one for bank). After taking the print of challan, the candidate shall approach the concerned bank to deposit the fee.


Punjab TET Selection Process:
  • Applicants who will score 60% or more in the PSTET Exam will be considered as qualified in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test.
  • Aspirants participating in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test can go through PTET Exam Pattern and prepare for upcoming exam according to it.
  • However, aspirants belonging to SC/ST, OBC, PWD, etc will be given 5% concession.

Punjab TET 2018 Syllabus:
  • Child Development Pedagogy: Child Development (Primary School Children): Understanding Children with the special needs, Concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy
  • Mathematics: Numbers, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry, Arithmetic, Shapes and Spatial Understanding
  • Language I (Punjabi): Comprehension based questions and concept for language development
  • Language II (English): Comprehension based question in English and development of language
  • Social Studies/ Social Sciences: History, Geography, Social and Political Life etc
  • Environmental Studies: Water, Air, Parts of Body, Habitats, Natural Resources, Solar System, Food Resource and Care, Our Surroundings
Process To Fill Punjab TET Application Form:
  • First and foremost step to fill PTET Application form is to visit official site of association that is www.tetpunjab.com.
  • After reaching on home page, you are required to select “New Registration and Applicant Login”.
  • Then you are required to register yourself by pressing on registration link.
  • This will navigate you to new page which will look like below image.

  • After this step, the candidate needs to press on proceed option and page like the below will open and candidate need to fill all details to move forward.

  • Now the candidate has to hit on the option of register me, and a new window will be opened that will have the login details, the candidate need to keep the details safe for further use.
  • After PSTET registration has been a new login page will be opened, where candidate has enter their login details.

  • After PSTET Login, the candidate needs to fill the general details like parents name, gender, email id etc in the space provided.

  • After filling up the application form a new window will open for payment, where the candidate has to pay their application fees (through Challan) For general B.C. category Rs, 500, For SC/ST category and Differently Abled candidates Rs. 300/- and For Ex-serviceman (Self) – NIL
  • As the fees will be submitted, the application process will also be finished.
  • When all the process is completed you are required to recheck the details once and then hit on “Submit” button.
  • Also, take the hard copy of filled application form as it will be useful in future. 

PSTET Admit Card:

After PSTET Registration, every individual must be looking for PTET admit card to appear in the examination. It is necessary to have Punjab TET Hall Ticket at the time of examination because without that no candidates will be allowed to sit in the examination. To get Punjab TET Admit card candidate can go through online mode and reach to the home page of Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test. After that select suitable link to download PSTET Hall Ticket and bring it at the time of examination. You can also check provided link to get your examination call letter.
