Punjab TET Eligibility:

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Candidates should have hold Senior Secondary/ Graduation or its equivalent or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Candidates must have done Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)./ 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)./ 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

Candidates who are able to scores 60% or more in the PSTET exam will be considered as PSTET pass. However, aspirants belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc will be given 5% concession.

  • Validity Period of PSTET certificate will be of seven years.
