Age Limit:

Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics): Candidates who want to apply for the above mentioned posts their age should not be more then 35 years as per organization norms.

Scientist ‘C’ (Social Science): The age of appliers should meet the age criteria of the organization that is upper age limit is 40 years.

Salary Details for NIE careers:
  • Candidates who will be selected for the Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics) will get salary of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.5400 by the organization.
  • Applicants who will be appointed for the Scientist ‘C’ (Social Science) will get salary of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600 by the organization.
  • Shortlisted aspirants will also receive other benefits as per Rules at the ICMR’s National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai.
Application Fee for NIE Jobs:
  • Candidates who are willing to apply for Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics) posts have to pay for Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) as an application fee through Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) / Demand Draft  payable to the Director, National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai.
  • Women and physically handicapped (PH) candidates are exempted of paying application fee.
Selection Procedure:
