LSAT India Eligibility Criteria 2017

Candidates going for admissions through the law school admission test need to have eligibility criteria of LSAT India 2017 as stated here!!

Undergraduate law programmes
  • Candidates, who are going to apply for undergraduate programmes including BA LLB, need to be a citizen of India.
  • They must be completed or qualified 12th board examination of 10+2 education system of CBSE or any other equivalent education board.
Postgraduate Law Programmes
  • Applying candidates for postgraduate law programmes including LLM need to be an LL.B degree holder with minimum qualifying marks.
  • The qualifying marks, however, shall vary for each of the participating colleges across India.

LSAT Application Fee

Students are informed that they can submit their application fee through online as well as offline mode as following it!!

Online Method:
  • Applying candidates against this notification are required to pay application fee of Rs. 3800 which will be payable by credit card/debit card only.  Candidates can pay only through VISA and Master Card credit cards/debit cards, issued in India.
Offline Method:

Students can submit their application fee though offline mode also. You have to pay your fee to the below stated address!!

No refunds will be issued to candidates who are mentioned below:
  • fail to appear for a scheduled test
  • fail to meet the identification and admit card requirements on the day of the test
  • fail to meet or violate LSAT—India test rules and policies
  • arrive late at the testing centre on the test date or
  • Have his/her score cancelled as a result of misconduct.

LSAT Online Application Form
  • To fill the Law School Admission Test Application form you need to follow these following steps as has been presented here!!
  • Initially, you are required to visit to the official website of the organization that is www.pearsonvueindia.com/lsatindia
  • Secondly, you have to read the required information in appropriate manner presented on this new page.
  • Thirdly, you must select the “Registration Open” tab available at the home page and press it.
  • Afterwards registered candidates are required to log in by entering the required information mentioned above.
  • New users need to register themselves first and after that fill the mandatory details asked in the format of LSAT Application Form.

Analytical Reasoning Questions
  • These questions measure the ability to understand a structure of relationships and to draw logical conclusions about that structure.
  • The test taker is asked to reason deductively from a set of statements and rules or principles that describe relationships among persons, things, or events.
  • Analytical Reasoning questions reflect the kinds of complex analyses that a law student performs in the course of legal problem solving.
Logical Reasoning Questions
  • These questions assess the ability to analyze, critically evaluate, and complete arguments as they occur in ordinary language.
  • Each Logical Reasoning question requires the test taker to read and comprehend a short passage, then answer a question about it.
  • The questions are designed to assess a wide range of skills involved in thinking critically, with an emphasis on skills that are central to legal reasoning.
  • These skills include drawing well-supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, determining how additional evidence affects an argument, applying principles or rules, and identifying argument flaws.
Reading Comprehension Questions
  • These questions measure the ability to read, with understanding and insight, examples of lengthy and complex materials similar to those commonly encountered in law school.
  • The Reading Comprehension section contains four sets of reading questions, each consisting of a selection of reading material, followed by four to nine questions that test reading and reasoning abilities.

LSAT Test Centers

Students are informed that they cannot reschedule or cancel their examination or request for test centre change once they have registered for the Law School Admission Test. The LSAT—India 2017 test will be conducted in the following cities:

Documents needed while going for exam:

Appearing students in the Law School Admission Test are required to bring the following documents while going for the examination, so please have a look!!
  • Admit Card
  • HB pencils, sharpener and erasers.
  • UIDAI / Aadhar Card (Colored or black/white E-Aadhar Print would be acceptable. Aadhar registration slip is NOT acceptable.)
  • Passport
  • Election Card / Voter ID
  • PAN Card
  • Driver’s License
  • SC/ ST Certificate with photograph
  • Military ID / Government issued Armed Forces Dependent Id containing photograph of the test-taker
  • Employee ID containing photograph and signature.
If the appeared students in the examination must not have above presented documents then they can bring any two of the documents (in Original) from the following:
  • Tenth pass certificate/mark sheet that has date of birth on it.
  • Photo Identity (Issued by School, College or University
  • Original admit card issued by University/Board for standard twelfth (XII) examination with affixed photograph.
Please note that following are not acceptable as IDs on the day of the test:
  • Photocopies (attested or otherwise)
  • Notarised copies
  • Learner’s driving license
