Multinational companies and foreign governments too place their advertisements for jobs from time to time. All prominent national dailies now a days, carry daily classified advertisements including “situation vacant”, which are classified under  various sections for different jobs like Academic, Sales & Marketing, Computer, Call Center, Journalists, Editors, Multiple Jobs etc. these advertisement are popular against readers as well as the employers because these are economical as compared to the display ads.

Secondly, newspapers also bring special supplements on career (Career Options After 12th) and jobs on specific days every week. For example, The Times of India provides ‘Education Times’ supplement on every Monday, which covers educational and career related information under separate columns.  On every Wednesday a supplement titled “Ascent” which covers national and international job advertisements.

The Hindustan Times brings out special supplements career and jobs (Best Jobs in India) – power jobs and HT horizon. Likewise, the Hindu supplies to its readers ‘opportunities” – a supplements a national and international job opportunities and career related information. Similarly, other papers and magazines also give adequate coverage to education, career and jobs.

Job sites on internet have become a popular mode of job hunting by the job seekers. The main advantage of the websites is that it is a ‘one stop-convenience’ mode. You have the opportunity to log on according to your convenience.

As a job seeker, your resume will be visible to the employers only if your skill set matches with employer’s needs. For instance, if an employer is looking for an executive who has an MBA degree with two-year work experience, the site will display all the resumes that match the requirements. The job of the site managers will finish as soon as the match takes place.
