TET Exam Pattern 

The Exam is held in two parts, Paper I and Paper II. A Paper I is conducted to hire the teachers for class 1 to 5th and II is conducted to hire the teachers for class 6 to 8th.

Exam Pattern of TET Paper 1
  • This paper consists of 30 Questions based on the Multiple Choice type with total marks of 150. 
  • Questions are asked from the subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies.
  • Time duration for this exam is 90 minutes.

Must Know About It:

The appropriate Government must organize TET at least once in a year. The Validity Period of Teacher Eligibility Test qualifying certificate for selection will be determined by suitable Government subject to a maximum of 07 years for all categories. But there will be no limitation on no. of attempts a person can take for obtaining a TET Certificate. A person who has qualified TET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

TET Certificate:

Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate must contain the name of contenders and address of contender, date of birth, Registration No. year/month of award of Certificate, marks obtained in each Paper, and in case of classes VI to VIII, the subject area (Science and Mathematics, Social  Studies, etc.)

Teacher Eligibility Test certificate can be electronically produced with sufficient security features. Suitable may consider developing the services of specialized organization for issuing de-materialized TET Certificates as a security feature to stay away from any kind of malpractice.
