Exam Pattern Of National Entrance Screening Test 2017:
  • The question paper includes 5 sections, each section consist MCQ type questions.
  • Section 1 is related to general section and is of 30 marks.
  • There will no negative marks in general section.
  • Sections 2 through, 5 are of 50 marks each and will contain subject specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, mathematics and Physics.
  • Candidates have choice to attempt any subject sections according to their convenience.
  • However, top 3 higher marks scoring subject will be counted for merit list preparation.
  • The questions papers are designed for checking mental ability and skill level of the student.
  • There will be negative marking in subject level sections for every question.
  • Some questions may have one or more correct answers for which marks can only be earned by marking all correct answers and no wrong answer.

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and university of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre, both centers was established by government of India in 2007 with the purpose of excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS). This organization conducts National Entrance Screening Test Examination with the motive of give admission in universities to trained them, as a scientist. NEST exam is compulsory to clear for student who wants to take admission in National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER). 

National Entrance Screening Test Examination (2017) will be conducted on 27-05-2017. The exam will be organized at the various cities which are given above across India. Candidates can check their centres by downloading their hall ticket. Some Important Guidelines For Appearing Candidates:
  • Applicants who are going to appear in examination, they should reach before 30 minutes at their examination hall.
  • Contenders must bring their NEST hall ticket along with them.
  • Without admit card, candidate will not permitted to the examination hall.
  • The examination will be of 3 hrs and will start at 10:00am.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 10:30 AM.
  • Applicants should bring their own pencil, pens, eraser and watch.
  • Use of log tables, calculators and mobiles will not allowed.
  • Candidates must bring their an identity card and important documents for the verification process.
