Eligibility:
  • Candidates must have completed 12th Standard or equivalent qualification with minimum 75% marks in concern discipline from well recognized Board / Institute.
  • Firstly, it is necessary for the candidate to appear and qualify the JEE Main examination (paper-1) with the cut-off marks.
  • Must have appeared the 12th class first time with all the subjects either in the year 2016 or 2017.
  • If candidate seeking for the improvement in the year 2017 then he/she has to appear the improvement exam in all the subjects
Age Restriction:

Applicants should have been born on or after October 1, 1992. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PWD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1987.

Number of Attempts:

A candidate can appear in the JEE Advanced Examination for maximum two times in consecutive years. Those applicants who had appeared in 2016 examination they are eligible to apply for this year also.

Mode of Payment of Fee Charges:


Registration fee payment has to be made through net banking, debit cards and SBI challan only but through credit card payment will be denied. 

SBI Debit Card/Internet Banking;
  • Candidates paying through online mode have to select Debit card/Internet banking as per their convenience.
  • After the successful payment, a registration detail along with the unique registration number is generated by the system.
  • After successful payment, candidates must take a print out of the registration details.
Payment in Cash through SBI Challan:
  • Applicants can also pay the fee through cash, select “SBI Branch” to pay the fee in cash.
  • The challan will be automatically generated, take a print out and pay the fees at any branch of SBI across India.
  • After successful payment of fees, candidates have to login into their account.
  • Then download the page generated by the system with the registration detail.
  • Then ensure to take a print out of the same and keep it safe.

Payment for SAARC and Non-SAARC Exam Centers:
  • Candidates in SAARC and Non-SAARC countries have to make the payment through international Debit/Credit card issued by the foreign bank outside India.
  • Payment with card must be issued outside India, or else the payment will not be accepted.
  • After depositing fee amount download the registration details after completion of payment.
How to fill JEE Advanced Online Application Form:
  • Candidates should register for appearing in JEE (Advanced) through official website, which is www.jeeadv.ac.in.
  • On home page of official site go to ‘Registration’ section and register yourself by filling Application Form.
  • After login, provide the basic data including choice of language of question paper (English or Hindi), choices for cities of examination.
  • Upload scanned copies of all requisite documents.
  • Pay registration fee Registration fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.
  • Take print out of application form for future use.

JEE Password Guidelines:

It is actually compulsory for app candidates to choose a unique and easy to remember password. Where password should have 8 to 13 Characters long and it has to be a combination of one upper case alphabet, one lower case alphabet, one numeric value and one special character like (!@#$%^&*-.)

How To Reset Password:
  • Candidates please check this also, Know here about ‘how to reset your password’ if in case you forget it; Well, appliers can use the security question (available there) and their correct answers which you have already chosen during filling registration form/
  • Password is also accessible through getting verification code sent via text message to your registered mobile number/ OR you may chose option of a reset link sent via Email to the registered Email address of candidate.
Documents to be uploaded by all Candidates:
  • Documents for JEE Advanced 2017 Application Form
  • Passport sized photograph and signature of the candidates
  • Birth certificate or class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it
  • Class XII or equivalent examination certificate (for applicants who appeared in the qualifying exam in 2016 or whose result was declared after June 2015)
  • If the name of the candidates does not match with class X certificate, a gazette notification indicating the change of name.
Documents to Upload (Required Size):
  • Size of Photograph must be between 4KB to 10KB
  • Size of Signature must be greater than 1KB and less than 30KB
  • The certificate image must be greater than 100KB and less than 300KB

JEE Advanced Admission:

The admission to the seats offered by the IITs, ISM, NITs, other Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority through JEE Counselling.

  • After successful submission of JEE Advanced Application Form, eligible candidates can download their admit card through the official portal. The admit card will be available on the website on few days before the date of examination i.e. from 10-05-2017 to 21-05-2017.
  • Candidates must have to produce this downloaded admit card at the time of examination. The original admit card will be issued to the registered candidates during the Paper 1 examination.
  • Candidate are required to keep this original admit card safely till the completion of all the formalities of admission.
JEE Advanced Result:

After successful completion of examination the result will be available on the official website. The result will be declared on 11-06-2017. Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) can be checked by the candidates through the official web portal. Candidates can also check their result through the text messages on their registered mobile numbers.
