JEE (Main) Syllabus for Paper 2
JEE Main Aptitude Test Syllabus for Paper 2:
Freehand Drawing
This would comprise of simple drawing depicting the total
object in its right form and proportion, surface texture, relative location and
details of its component parts in appropriate scale. Common domestic or
daytoday life usable objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.
Geometrical Drawing
Exercises in geometrical drawing containing lines, angles,
triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles etc. Study of plan (top view),
elevation (front or side views) of simple solid objects like prisms, cones,
cylinders, cubes, splayed surface holders etc.
ThreeDimensional Perception
Understanding and appreciation of threedimensional forms
with building elements, colour, volume and orientation. Visualization through
structuring objects in memory.
Imagination and Aesthetic
Sensitivity
Composition exercise with given elements. Context mapping.
Creativity check through innovative uncommon test with familiar objects. Sense
of colour grouping or application.
Architectural Awareness
General interest and awareness of famous architectural
creations – both national and international, places and personalities
(architects, designers etc.) in the related domain
JEE Main Syllabus Weightage:
The test paper will be consisting questions of Physics,
Chemistry & Mathematics and all questions will have equal weightage.
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2018 for Paper 1 and Paper 2:
IIT JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern shows the question paper
pattern of JEE Mains exam and JEE Main Syllabus Weightage. Therefore, for applicant’s convenience we are
providing a prescribed exam pattern for paper I and paper II.
For JEE Main Paper I Exam Pattern:
 Paper 1 will be conducted in online as well as offline mode; applicants have to appear in one of the modes as per their ease.
 You’ll find the question paper in English with Hindi language.
 The authority has specified the exam duration as 3 hours on the other hand there will be 1 hour of relaxation for candidate with 40% or more disability.
 Four marks will be given for each correct answer where; one mark will be deducted for any wrong answer.
 Total number of questions will be 90 and it’d be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
For JEE Main Paper II Exam Pattern:
 Paper II will be conducted in pen and paper mode only.
 There will be three sections of the question paper i.e. Mathematics (30 questions), Aptitude Test (40 questions) and Drawing (7 questions).
 The time duration will 3 hours, applicants have to complete it within 3 hours.
 Four marks will be given for each right answer and ¼ marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
