SSC CHSL Tier II Syllabus

Tier-II Paper of CHSL 2017 will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of exam will be for one hour (20 minutes extra will be given for applicants with VH/OH afflicted by Cerebral Palsy, OH with deformity in writing hand). This paper has been introduced to check your writing skills. The Paper will comprise writing of an Essay of 200 -250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II will be 33 per cent
  • The performance in Tier II will be included for preparing merit
  • Applicants you need to write the paper either in Hindi or in English
  • Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus

Tier-III Exam will continue to be the Skill Test/Typing Test and it qualifying in nature. The final SSC CHSL Merit List of the successful applicants will be determined on the basis of total mark obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II. SSC CHSL DEO Syllabus is given below

Skill Test for Data Entry Operator:
  • Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer
  • The ‘Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer’ will be considered on the basis of correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage.
  • Duration of the said Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions will be given to you to enter in the Computer.
  • The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of qualifying nature. 

Typing Test for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant LDCs and Court Clerks:
  • This test will be conducted for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant LDCs and Court Clerks. Those candidates who will qualify the Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) may appear for Typing Test. SSC CHSL LDC Syllabus and other posts is given below.
  • Time for test - 10 minutes (30 min. for VH candidates)
  • Typing Speed for English medium in application form - 35 words per minute
  • Typing Speed for Hindi medium - 30 words per minute
How to Prepare for SSC CHSL Exam

Complete Syllabus: Applicants need to go through complete syllabus for that you need to start according to time.

Focus one subject at one time: If you want to achieve success then it is very compulsory that you go through all the concepts one-by-one. Don’t be hurry in learning and do practice and revision after finishing the one concept.

Mock Test: To check your efficiency you must take a mock test and after preparation must try to attempt all the questions.

Analyze your results: Check which answer was incorrect. Go back to that topic and practice hard. Say this to yourself that the next time you see this question on a test, you shouldn't falter again.
Exam Strategy: By attempting mock test must attain idea about how to manage time and which section should be attempt fist.
