Syllabus of General Awareness

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research. Questions are also planned to evaluate knowledge of latest events and of such issues of everyday inspection and knowledge in their logical feature as may be estimated of a learned person.

SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus for Typing Test
  • Time for test - 10 minutes (30 min. for VH candidates)
  • Typing Speed for English medium in application form - 35 words per minute
  • Typing Speed for Hindi medium - 30 words per minute

SSC CHSL Syllabus for Skill Test

Data Entry Speed is of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer. Only those aspirants who qualify in Skill Test at a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour will be eligible for being suggested for selection as per their post in merit list

The exam will contain objective type questions. Each question will have four options. Candidates have to choose one option which they think correct. The Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam will contain the negative marking of ¼ marks for each wrong answer. So candidates must be very careful while answering the question.

Participants must manage their timings in exams according to the number of questions in SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam Pattern. A candidate can qualify the exam only when he/ she attend all the sections in exam with maximum number of correct answers.
