Applying contenders must be:
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Citizen of India or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

IBPS PO Age Limit:

Candidates applying for IBPS PO Vacancies must fulfill the age limit for IBPS PO as per given in the IBPS Notification. Their minimum age should be at least 20 years and maximum age should not be more than 30 years.   • Candidates who are seeking for upper age relaxation have to submit essential certificate(s) in original/ copies at the time of Interview or at any succeeding stage of the recruitment process as required
  • In case, Ex-servicemen who has once joined in a Govt. job on the civil side after availing the benefits given to him as an Ex-servicemen for his re-employment, his Ex-servicemen status for the purpose of re-employment in Government ceases and There is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in Officers’ Cadre.

IBPS PO Selection Process:
  • Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Written Examination (Preliminary and Mains Exam) and Personal Interview.
  • Firstly individual have to clear the pre exam by securing cut off marks that will be decided by the IPS later. According to the number of vacancies available in every category, candidates will be shortlisted for IBPS Main Examination. 
  • Further, Qualified candidates in the Preliminary Exam will be called for further selection process that is IBPS PO Mains Exam and IBPS PO interview.
  • Candidates are advised to qualify both the rounds to get placed in the Institute for Banking Personnel Selection.
  • Contenders who have been shortlisted in the IBPS PO Exam (main examination) for CWE PO/MT will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS.
