IBPS PO Exam Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship:

Applying contenders must be:
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Citizen of India or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
IBPS PO Qualification Eligibility:
  • Aspirants applying for IBPS PO exam must possess Graduation Degree in any discipline from a well recognized institute/ University with good academic records
  • Its equivalent qualification from a well recognized institute/ University such as by the Central Government.
  • All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies.
IBPS PO Age Limit:

Aspirants who are going to fill IBPS PO application form should not be less than 20 years and not more than 30 years of age that is candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1986 and not later than 01.07.1996 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS PO Age Relaxation:

Reserved category candidates will get upper age relaxation as stated below:

Additional:
  • Candidates who are seeking for upper age relaxation have to submit essential certificate(s) in original/ copies at the time of Interview or at any succeeding stage of the recruitment process as required
  • In case, Ex-servicemen who has once joined in a Govt. job on the civil side after availing the benefits given to him as an Ex-servicemen for his re-employment, his Ex-servicemen status for the purpose of re-employment in Government ceases and There is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in Officers’ Cadre.

IBPS PO Selection Process
  • Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Written Examination (Preliminary and Mains Exam) and Personal Interview
  • Qualified candidates in the Preliminary Exam will be called for further selection process that is IBPS PO Mains Exam and IBPS PO interview
  • Candidates are advised to qualify both the rounds to get placed in the Institute for Banking Personnel Selection
Contenders who have been shortlisted in the main examination for CWE PO/MT will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS.


After completion the IBPS PO interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2018-19 based on business needs of the Participating Organizations and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organizations, based on merit-cum-preference.
