NEET 2017 counselling for 15% All India Quotas (AIQ):

The counselling of NEET 2017 will be conducted for allotment of 15% All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats in all government medical and dental colleges of India except institutions in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir. The allotment of MBBS and BDS seats will be done strictly on the basis of candidates’ rank and their preference for medical and dental colleges. The NEET 2017 counselling will be conducted for approximately 3500 MBBS and BDS seats.

Procedure of NEET 2017:

NEET 2017 counselling Round 1:
  • Step 1: NEET 2017 Counselling Registration, Choice filling & Indicative Seat – First of all candidates are required to register themselves to participate in NEET 2017 counselling. 
  • Step 2:  NEET 2017 Counselling Exercising of Choices and Locking – Candidates can choose the medical and dental colleges of his or her choice and save it by clicking on save button. Once the choice is locked by candidates the list of selected medical and dental colleges will be appear on the screen. 
  • Step 3: Process of Seat Allotment in NEET 2017 Counselling Round 1 – Candidates get seat according to their rank and choice opted for medical and dental colleges
  • Step 4:  NEET 2017 counselling Round 1 Result Publish –NEET Counselling Result rwill be announced on August 2017 having details regarding colleges allotted to candidates as per their choice and rank.
  • Step 5:  Reporting to Allotted Medical /Dental College against 1st Round – Candidates have to report to allotted medical colleges within the given dates to complete admission formalities. 

NEET 2017 Counselling Round 2:
  • In this round there will be no new registration this round is only for the updation of choice selected firstly for medical and dental colleges. The result of this round will be announced on September 2017.  
  • Candidates taking part in second round of online allotment will have to submit fresh choices during choice submission period and lock the choices during period of locking. There will be no indicative allotment in counselling round 2. Choices locked by the candidates would be processed and result will be published. 
Eligibilty Criteria for NEET  Counselling Round 2:

Eligible for Round 2 Counselling
Non - Eligible for Round 2 Counselling
Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in round 1
Not reported at allotted Institute during reporting period of allotment in round 1
Registered candidates, whose 1st round of allotted Seat Cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission, who have secured seat under reserved quota, due to change of Category from reserved to Unreserved or PH status from Yes to No or from PH -1 to PH-2, subject to eligibility in changed category, will be considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in respective category.
Reported & Withdrawn (Resigned) from counselling at Allotted Institute

Candidates who have reported at allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.
Became non-eligible due to change of category

Candidates who have not opted for up-gradation during round-2


NEET 2017 Documents required at the time of admission:

 Candidates have to bring following original documents (along with attested photocopies of documents) for admission to the allotted allotted Medical / Dental College
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric certificate does not bear the same)
  • Class 10th Certificate
  • Class 10+2 Certificate
  • Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
  • Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form
  • Provisional allotment letter generated on-line
  • Proof of identity
  • The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable:
  • SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority in the standard format as specified in the prospectus/information bulletin (if applicable)
  • OBC certificate issued by the competent authority in the standard format as specified in the prospectus/information bulletin (if applicable)
  • Orthopedic Physical Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Boards (if applicable)
