  • As legal denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes is from 9th November 2016 so you can no longer use them for any transactions but you can deposit notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 in their banks from 10th November to 30th December 2016.

  • New notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 would be released by the Government.
  • On 9th November 2016 ATMs will not work, and at some places on 10th November 2016 as well

  • Those who will unable to deposit Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes till 30th December 2016 due to some reasons, can change them till 31st March 2017 by furnishing ID proof.
  • Currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes will be just paper with no value as you cannot use them in any transactions.
  • On 9th November All banks and post offices will remain closed as they can maintain their work strategic.
  • Cashless fund transfer won't be affected by this and Respite for people for the initial 72 hours, Govt hospitals will accept old Rs 500 and 1000 notes till 11th November 2016 midnight.
  • People can exchange Rs 20,000 weekly of Rs 500 & Rs 1,000 notes.
