CTET Application Form

Minimum Eligibility to CTET Exam Form 2018:

CTET Eligibility For Primary Teacher (Classes I-V):

  • In order to fill CTET exam application form, one must complete 12th or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or,
  • Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with securing minimum 45% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002. Or,
  • Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration).Or,
  • Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). Or,
  • Who have Bachelor’s degree and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).


CTET Eligibility Criteria For Elementary stage teacher (Classes VI-VIII):

  • Who have Graduation degree and passed or appearing in final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or,
  • Who have completed their Graduation degree with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education. Or,
  • Who have completed their Graduation degree with 40% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations.
  • Group of candidates Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education.
  • Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed or B.A/B.Sc. Ed. Or,
  • Candidates having Graduation degree with securing 50% marks and cleared or appearing in B.Ed program of 1 year duration.

Relaxation in Education According to the CTET New Notification:

Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled for filling up CTET Registration Form.

CTET 2018 Application Fee:
  • Candidates can pay the application fee while submitting the CTET online Registration Form through the medium of credit card/debit card or E-Challan at Syndicate Bank or HDFC Bank.
  • Contenders are required to pay application fee for applying as given below-

CTET Exam Pattern 2018:
  • As per the CTET notification, Candidates need to be appeared in two (Paper I & Paper II) according to their choice.
  • Paper I is conducted for aspirants having desire to become teacher for class I to V.
  • Paper II is organized for aspirants having desire to become teacher for class VI to VIII.
  • Aspirants interested for both are required to appear for both papers.

Way to fill CTET Online Application Form:

For filling up CTET Application Form follow these steps as mentioned below-
  • First of all candidates are required to go through official website of the organization that is ctet.nic.in
  • On home page of official site go to “Current Events” section and hit the appropriate link.
  • Now read the CTET exam notification carefully first then hit the appropriate link to apply online.
  • Fill the CTET Exam Application Form carefully and correctly in an appropriate manner without any mistakes.
  • Upload scanned images of latest photograph & signature along with CTET online Form.
  • Make payment of requisite application fee and press the “Submit” tab at last.
  • Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation Page for record and keep CTET exam online application form for their reference.

CTET Cut Off Marks:
  • The language mode of the question paper will Hindi and English.
  • Candidates have to score 60% marks.
  • The validity of the certificate is seven years counted from publication of result.
