The selection of the applying contenders will be based on their performance Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by Central Board Of Secondary Education in the month of May 2017. Candidates, who want to be Primary Teacher (Classes I-V) they need to appear in Paper I and For Elementary stage teacher (Classes VI-VIII) Paper II will be conducted. Minimum Eligibility to Appear in CTET 2017

For Primary Teacher (Classes I-V):

Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with obtaining minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or,
Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with securing minimum 45% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002. Or,
Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration).Or,
Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). Or,
Who have Bachelor’s degree and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).


For Elementary stage teacher (Classes VI-VIII):

Who have Graduation degree and passed or appearing in final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or,
Who have completed their Graduation degree with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education. Or,
Who have completed their Graduation degree with 40% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations.
Group of candidates Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education.
Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed or B.A/B.Sc. Ed. Or,
Candidates having Graduation degree with securing 50% marks and cleared or appearing in B.Ed program of 1 year duration.


Relaxation in Education:

Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled for filling up CTET Application Form.

Requisite Application Fee:
  • Candidates can pay the application fee through credit card/debit card or E-Challan at Syndicate Bank or HDFC Bank.
  • Contenders are required to pay application fee for applying as given below-

CTET Exam Pattern 2017:
  • Candidates will be appeared in two (Paper I & Paper II) according to their choice.
  • Paper I is conducted for aspirants having desire to become teacher for class I to V.
  • Paper II is organized for aspirants having desire to become teacher for class VI to VIII.
  • Aspirants interested for both are required to appear for both papers.

Way to fill CTET Online Application Form:
For filling up CTET Application Form follow these steps as mentioned below-
  • First of all candidates are required to go through official website of the organization that is ctet.nic.in
  • On home page of official site go to “Current Events” section and hit the appropriate link.
  • Now read the notification carefully first then hit the appropriate link to apply online.
  • Fill the CTET Application Form carefully and correctly in an appropriate manner without any mistakes.
  • Upload scanned images of latest photograph & signature along with application.
  • Make payment of requisite application fee and press the “Submit” tab at last.
  • Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation Page for record and keep it for their reference.

CTET Cutoff Marks:
  • The language mode of the question paper will Hindi and English.
  • Candidates have to score 60% marks.
  • The validity of the certificate is seven years counted from publication of result.
