Those candidates who are going to participate in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering held on 04, 05th, 11th and 12th February 2017 can get the GATE Hall Ticket through this page. How to Download GATE Exam Hall Ticket?
  • Candidates are required to visit the official site that is www.gate.iitr.ernet.in
  • On home page of official site go to “Candidate login for downloading admit card” section and hit “appsgate.iitr.ac.in” link.
  • Now login page will be displayed on your computer screen.

  • Enter the required details such as “Enrollment ID/Email Address”, Password and GOAPS password and Captcha.
  • After filling the complete details, hit on “Submit” button.
  • Now Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Admit Card will be displayed on your computer screen within a minute.
  • Now download GATE Admit Card on your desktop and bring it at the time of examination.

If You Forgot Your Enrollment ID & Password:
  • Candidates are advised to visit the official that is www.gate.iitr.ernet.in
  • Follow “Candidate login for downloading admit card” section and hit “appsgate.iitr.ac.in” link available on home page of official site.
  • After that you will see “Forgot Your Enrollment ID & Password” section, now you have to hit the tab.
  • Now follow the points according to your desirability.
Candidates, if you remember the Enrollment ID and forgotten Password, then you have to hit on "Request for an OTP" link, now you will get One Time Password.

  • The XE (Engineering Sciences) paper has now included in new section on Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (section H).
  • For new Engineering Sciences subject, now number of section in XE paper has increased to eight (A-H).
  • Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.

Basic Features of GATE Exam 2017:
  • Examinations for all the 23 papers (disciplines) will be conducted by an ONLINE Computer Based Test.
  • A candidate can appear only in any one paper of the examination.
  • The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed in by the candidate using the virtual keypad.
  • Rest of the questions shall be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.
  • The candidates shall use ONLY virtual calculator to be provided by Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.
  • Examination for some of the papers in 2017 will be held in multiple sessions.

GATE Exam Centres:
  • New Examination Centres: Burdwan (IIT Guwahati Zone), Dibrugarh (IIT Guwahati Zone) and Gorakhpur (IIT Kanpur Zone) have been added as new GATE Centers.
  • Examination Centres for International Candidates: Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E)

You Need To Follow These Instructions Before Entry in Examination Center:
  • Candidates need to bring the printed admit card along with valid photo identification proof like valid passport/PAN CARD/Voter ID/Aadhar UID/Valid College ID/Employee ID/Driving License at the time of exam along with at least one original.
  • Must report at exam hall 60 minutes before scheduled beginning of exam.
  • You will be allowable to appear for exam only after their documents are verified by Centre officials.
  • No applicant will be permitted to enter the exam hall after 09:30 Hours (IST) in the forenoon session and after 14:30 Hours (IST) in the Afternoon Session.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.
  • Personal calculators, mobile phones or any other electronic devices not permitted in the examination hall.
  • You need not to bring any charts/tables/papers into the exam hall.
  • Authorities will not be responsible for safe keep of candidate’s personal belongings.
