CSIR UGC NET 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

CSIR UGC NET Qualification:
  • To fill UGC NET Application Form, Candidates are required to possess M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B.Tech/ BPharma/ MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates as per CSIR UGC NET 2018 eligibility.
  • As per UGCNET Notification, the relaxation of 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates will be determined.
  • As per CSIR UGC NET 2018 notification, M.Sc students or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the closing date of online submission of UFC NET Online form, are also eligible to apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category. OR
  • Ph.D degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.

CSIR UGC NET Age Limit:
  • Candidates should not be more than 28 years as on 01-07-2017 in order to fill CSIR NET Application Form.
  • Upper age limit as per CSIR NET Notification may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of SC/ ST/ Persons with Disability (PwD)/ female applicants and 03 years in case of OBC (non creamy layer) applicants.

CSIR UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018:
  • According to CSIR UGC NET 2018 exam pattern, the UGC NET Exam will be held in a total of five subjects.
  • It will consist of a single MCQ paper comprising of 200 marks.
  • Deduction of the marks for every wrong answers will decided as per the subject and scheme of the CSI NET exam.

CSIR UGC NET Question Paper:

The question paper will be divided into three Parts- A, B, and C as described below:

Part ‘A’: In this part will be common for all subject examination. Questions will be based on General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.

Part ‘B’: Part ‘B’ will consist of questions based on Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus. For the subject of Engineering Sciences, however, questions pertaining to Engineering Aptitude and Mathematics will be included.

Part ‘C’: In Part ‘C’ there will be higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/ or application of the scientific concepts. Candidates are required to apply scientific concepts to solve the questions. Prepare all topics that are given in CSIR UGC NET 2018 Syllabus and CSIR UGC NET Answer Key or CSIR UGC NET 2018 answer key properly.
