Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who want to get admission to BS-MS Programme they can check the eligibility criteria which are provide below: The eligibility criteria are given below:

Nationality: PIO & OCI Indian National candidates are eligible to apply.

SCB Streams:
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with science stream in 2017 or 2018 with marks equal or above the cut-off percentage in their respective boards.
  • 5% of relaxation in qualifying marks will be provided to OBC-NC & PwD category.
  • The cut off percentage for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/KM category is 55% in 10+2 level for all boards.
KVPY Stream:

Aspirants who are going to appear in the entrance test must have a valid KVPY scholarship commencing from 2018-2019 session.


Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY):

JEE Advanced Exam: Candidates those who have scored a minimum of 75% marks in class XII and securing a place in the rank list of Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology.

State and Central Boards (SCB) Channel: Candidates who are going to apply through State and Central Boards channel, they need to qualify the IISER Aptitude Test 2018 which will be conducted by the organization at various centres across the country.

Application Fee:

Candidates who are going to apply for the entrance exam they must have to pay the application fee of following amount:
  • For General and OBC Category: Rs.1500/-
  • For SC/ST Category and Kashmiri Migrants: Rs. 750/-

Mode of Payment:

Candidates must have to pay the application fee through online mode by using Net banking, Credit Card & Debit Card.

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by them in IISER Aptitude Test and the reservation criterion.

Exam Pattern:
  • KVPY entrance Test will be conducted through offline mode that is through pen-paper based.
  • The question paper consists of PCMB subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology).
  • The questions asked in the exam will be of multiple choice types.
  • Duration of the exam is 3 hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
  • There will be total 15 questions asked from each subject.
  • The question paper will be of 180 marks.
  • For each correct answer 3 marks will be awarded to the candidates.
  • There is negative marking in the exam that is for incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted

How to Fill IISER Admission Form?
  • First of all you need to log on to the official website i.e. www.iiserpune.ac.in.
  • From the top of the homepage press on “Admissions” tab.
  • On the next page you will get the admission window and there you need to select “BS-MS Programme” link.
  • After that a new notification will be displayed having all the details regarding the admission procedure.
  • You are required to read all the details carefully and after that start the applying procedure.
  • Register yourself by creating a profile and after that a new user ID and password will be generated.
  • Log in to the university website by using the essentials and then fill the online Application Form and then go for the payment option.
  • Candidates are required to pay the application fees and confirm the paying status.
  • Recheck the form and then take a print out of it for the future usage.
