SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria:

  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

Educational Qualification:

Applying Candidate should have possessed Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation Degree) or equivalent from a recognized University, to apply for SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam.

SSC CGL Selection Procedure:

Applicants who are going to participate in SSC CGL Examination they must check the latest exam pattern which is provided below. The Examination will be conducted in different tiers as indicated below:

  • Tier -II -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)

SSC CGL Tier I Exam Pattern:

Tier-1 is the first level of CGL Exam and it’s consisting of objective type questions which will be conducted on the computer:

Tier: II Exam Pattern:

Those candidates, who successfully qualified the Tier-1 examination, need to appear in the Tier-2 examination. Tier II examination is also an objective type examination same as Tier-1 that is held on computers but the difficultly level is more than the Tier-1 examination. The tier-2 examination is of total 600 marks for which detailed pattern is indicated below:

Tier: III Exam Pattern:

After qualifying both the above said examination, candidates are shortlisted to attend Tier III Examination. The medium of this examination is a descriptive type which is held through Pen Paper mode. Steps to Apply against SSC CGL Notification:
  • Candidates who are willing to apply for SSC CGL Exam Notification they can submit their application form through Online or Offline Mode.
  • Online Mode:
  • The Process of filling application form is divided into two Parts that is Part I and Part II.
Part I:
  • First of all, candidates are required to visit the official web site that is
  • On the home page, you will find the “Examination” link where you have to choose the “Registration” option.
  • Thereafter, follow the “Apply online” link.
  • Choose the notification that is related to “SSC CGL 2017”.
  • Fill the Registration Form as per the guidelines. Your information must be true and complete.
  • When you will submit the filled form, a unique Registration ID will be generated.
  • You have to note down that ID for future use.
Part II:
  • Now you need to fill Part II stage of the application form.
