AFCAT 2 Eligibility Criteria:

For Flying Branch:

Individuals should have passed Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent and should be passed in Math and Physics at 10+2 level along with BE / B Tech degree from a recognized university or board.

For Technical Branch:

Candidate should scored minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with four year graduation / integrated post graduation Qualification in Engineering / Technology from a well recognized board or institute.

For Ground Duty Branches:

Administration& Logistics: Contender must possess Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent.

Accounts: Applicant may hold B. Com. Degree which is a Minimum three year degree course with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a well recognized university.

Education: Personal having MBA / MCA or MA / M Sc Degree with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate all paper put together in Post Graduation can apply against Exam.

Age Criteria for filling AFCAT 2 Application Form:
  • In order to apply for Flying Branch, your age should be between 20 to 24 years as mentioned in AFCAT 2 Notification.
  • Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years.
  • Technical Branch as well as Ground Duty Branches applying aspirants should be minimum 20 years and maximum 26 years in age.

AFCAT Hiring Process:
  • Recruitment Panel will shortlist talented personals based on performance in Air Force Common Admission Test and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
  • Those who get qualified under AFCAT and EKT Exam need to appear in the following stages:
Stage 1- Intelligence Test and Screening Test.

Stage 2- Psychological, Group Tests and Interview

Pay Scale:
  • Those who get successfully selected for Flying Officer Positions will get Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 per month along with Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, Dearness, and Kit Maintenance & Transport Allowance.

Air Force Common Admission Test Exam Pattern:
  • There are entire 100 questions which applicants have to attempt in 2 hours.
  • It is an objective type paper.
  • Each question will carry 3 marks for correct answers.
  • There is an EKT test for Technical Branch aspirants.
  • There is a provision of negative marking in it. Avoid making wild guess, in case you don’t know exact answer, then leave that question and move to next one.
  • Candidates qualifying in this exam will be called for medical fitness test.

  • Hit on “Advertisement AFCAT 02/2017”.
  • Within few seconds, PDF will open up on your screen.
  • Read entire details under Notification such as Exam Date, eligibility criteria etc.
  • If you meet eligibility criteria, then you have to fill AFCAT 2 Online Form. For this, you have to tap on “Candidates Login” button mentioned above.
  • Now register yourself by Login through Email Id, Password and Notification in the space provided.
  • Enter Security code and hit on “Proceed” option.
