CBSE UGC NET 2017: On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) Central Board Of Secondary Education is conducting CBSE UGC NET Exam on 05th November 2017. Before appearing in UGC National Eligibility Test, applicants are required to fill CBSE UGC NET Application form.  According to the latest notification, the deadline of application form has been extended from 30-08-2017 to 11-09-2017 date. Applicants, who will appear in UGC NET upcoming examination, they should get themselves registered through online mode. Without any registration followed by filling of CBSE UGC NET application form, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the National Eligibility Test.

CBSE UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:

Required Qualification:
  • Candidates must have a Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC (list attached page No. 22 to 48) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc are eligible. Candidates should appear in the subject of their post graduation only.
  • Aspirants, who had appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed are also eligible to apply.
  • The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September can get relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.

Age Limit:
  • For Junior Research Fellowship, age of appliers should not be more than 28 years. 5 years relaxation is available in upper age limit OBC/ SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants.
  • Candidates, having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, will be also admissible for relaxation.
  • There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
CBSE UGC NET Fee:
  • For General Category Candidates: Rs. 600/-
  • For Other Backward Classes Candidates: Rs. 300/-
  • For SC/ ST/ PH Category Candidates: Rs. 150/-
  • Fee should be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card or through E-Challan generated during the online filling of the application form.
  • Through Credit card candidates are also required to pay 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable and through Debit Card 0.75% of examination fee plus the service tax as applicable. 
Process of Selection:

Selection of appliers will be done as per their performance in Central Board Of Secondary Education National eligibility Test. Pattern of the examination will be as following below:
  • Subjects: Paper I will contain questions based on General Aptitude Questions while Paper II and Paper III will contain questions based on selected subject.
  • Medium of Exam: Exam questions will be asked in Hindi or English Language.
  • Type of Questions: Questions in all paper will objective type.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will get 2 marks for each correct answer and here is no negative marking

UGC National Eligibility Test 2017 Cut Off
:
  • Candidates are required to score mini marks as given below to get award for the JRF and Assistant Professor eligibility. This is the cut off marks for previous year, as soon as latest cut off marks will available, we will provide on this page.
  • Separate merit list for Junior Research Fellowship will be prepared from amongst 15% UGC NET qualifiers.
  • Only top 15% candidates will be awarded for eligibility of Assistant Professor.

CBSE UGC NET Admit Card:

You need to carry CBSE UGC NET Hall Ticket at time of examination. Exam is scheduled to be held on 19th November, 2017 (Sunday). Admit Card will be available on official portal in the first week of November, 2017. Bring your identity proof and passport size photo at time of Examination.

How to fill CBSE UGC NET Application Form?
  • Visit to the official portal of National Eligibility Test (NET) Central Board Of Secondary Education that is cbsenet.nic.in.
  • Select link to apply online for CBSE UGC NET November Exam 2017.
  • Now you should fill all required details in online application form properly.
  • Upload your passport size photo, signature and certificates in concern to qualification etc as per the requirement.
  • Pay application fee through proper channel and submit the application form.
  • Take the print out of application form for future use and take hard copy of it.
