IMU CET Counselling 2018: The IMU CET Counselling will be started from 01st to 3rd week of June 2018 for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses. Admissions to all UG Courses (except BBA) and PG Courses will be done through IMU CET Online Counselling only. The IMU CET Counseling will be organized for the qualified applicants those who scored the qualifying marks in the IMU CET Entrance Test. Online IMU CET 2018 Counselling will be done for Allotment of Seats in IMU campuses only. The link titled “Online Counselling 2018” in Indian Maritime University’s website www.imu.edu.in will be active as per schedule. Now, those candidates who will be shortlisted in common entrance test, they need to appear in Indian Maritime Time University Counselling. IMU CET Counselling

IMU CET Counselling Process:

Step 1 (Payment of the Counselling Fee)

At the very first step to apply in the Counseling is to payments of the fees. Candidates need to submit the Counselling Fee of Rs.10,000/- (non-refundable) to IMU through the online mode (Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card) only. Candidates who have paid the Counselling Fee are exempted from paying the Admission Registration Fee of Rs.10,000/- at the time of admission

Step 2 (Choose Program and Institute):

After the payment of fees, candidates need to choose the program in which they want to get admission. After the choice filling, candidate has to select the IMU Campuses/Affiliated Institutes from the provided list and put them on the priority level.

Step 3 (Seat Allotment): 

The next process will be the allotment of seats in the IMU Counselling, Seats will be allotted top the candidates on the basis of four things which are mentioned below.
  • Rank in the CET
  • Category
  • Choices of Programmes and Campuses
  • The availability of seats
Step 4 (First List)

After the successful allotment of seats, the first list of IMU Counselling will be released. In this process, candidates will get the Provisional Allotment Letter indicating the Programme and Campus from the institute. After that, candidates need to appear for the verification of original Document and certificates.

Step 5 (Payment of the Programme Fee): 

After the verification of the Original documents and medical fitness, candidate nee3d to submit the Programme (non-refundable) Fee of Rs.25,000/ Rs.27,500 to IMU through Online mode before the prescribed date mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Letter. If candidates will be failed to pay the programme fees, then they will deemed to be a ‘drop out’ and cannot claim over the seat. on the failure of prograame fees, candidates shall forfeit the Counselling Fee.

Step 6 (Second and Third List):

If there is any seat is available, then the Second List and Third List will be released. Candidate who has already paid the Programme Fee of Rs.25,000/- will not be required to pay it again in the Second List

Documents Required at the time of Counselling:
  • Hall Ticket
  • Rank Card
  • Statements of Marks and Provisional Certificate / Original Degree
  • Physical Fitness Certificate from the Medical Officer, Andhra University or from a Govt. Assistant Civil Surgeon
  • Transfer and Conduct Certificates from the institution where the candidate last studied
  • Date of Birth Certificate (S.S.C. or equivalent).
  • Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC candidates. 
  • Four recent passport size photos.
  • Two sets of attested copies of all the above certificates/documents, and additionally 3 copies each of TC, Caste & Income certificates
  • Latest Income Certificate issued by the competent authority (valid for 4 years) or white ration card in case of eligible SC/ST/BC/EBC candidates claiming fee concession.
  • Study Certificates from IX standard onwards issued by the Heads of the respective institutes OR Local Candidate Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
  • Certificate in the prescribed form in respect of claim under special category (NCC, NSS, CAP, SPORTS and PH) where ever applicable
  • Migration Certificate in the case of candidates from Universities other than the University where the admission is sought

IMU CET Seat Allotment:

The allotment of seats in Under Graduate Courses reserved for the ‘Special States’ – Jammu & Kashmir, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands and Eight North Eastern States (including Sikkim) – will be done after publication of Second List from the seats, if any.

Reservation of Seats:

For Under Graduate Courses:
  • 15% of total seats available to Indian Nationals are reserved for willing applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes
  • 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe and 27% Seats are reserved for Other Backward Class (OBC) applicants belonging to non- creamy layer (NCL).
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST, a relaxation of 5% of the aggregate marks will be considered for all courses except in English subject marks.
  • Maximum number of seats reserved in a Academic Year for the Under Graduate Courses put together in all IMU Campuses shall be as follows:
  • Andaman and Nicobar Islands – 20 seats
  • Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands – 10 seats
  • Eight North Eastern States (including Sikkim) – 40 seats
  • Jammu and Kashmir – 10 seats
For Post Graduate Courses:
  • 15% of total seats available to Indian Nationals are reserved for willing applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes
  • 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe and 27% Seats are reserved for Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates belonging to Non- Creamy Layer (NCL).
