KSET Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
  • It is necessary to satisfy Karnataka SET Eligibility before applying towards it sp applying aspirant must have secured at least 55% of marks for general category and 50% for SC, ST, PWD, Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB, in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in the subjects opted for KSET.
  • Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also appear for this Test.
  • Candidate who became eligible in Previous KSET TESTs are not eligible to apply again in the same subject.

KSET Examination Fee

Examination Fee Structure:

While submitting Karnataka SET application form 2018 candidates are required to pay Karnataka SET examination fee. Amount of fee is mentioned below have a look on it.

Late fee of Rs.150/- has to be paid by candidates who online application after the last date till the extended period.

Note: Candidates belonging to category SC, ST, CAT-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, PWD who claim fee exemption must enclose attested copy of Category certificate issued by competent authority along with the hard copy of the application.

Mode Of Payment:

By pressing on the Payment button at KSET site, select the payment category (General/Cat IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB/ Cat-I, SC, ST, PWD) and enter the data in all the fields available carefully. Verify the details entered and amount to be paid and proceed to make payment via State Bank MOPS (Multi Option Payment System). Fee submitted by any other mode like Money Order /Demand Draft/IPO etc., will NOT be accepted. Fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances.

Karnataka SET Examination Scheme
Session of KSET Paper:

Karnataka State Eligibility Test 2018 will be consisting of three papers. The test for all the three papers will consist of only Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Paper-I: General Paper is on Teaching and Aptitude
  • Paper-II: Subject Paper
  • Paper-III: Subject paper (in depth questions)

Procedure to Fill KSET Online Application Form 2018

Step 1: First and foremost step of organization is to open official website of Karnataka State Eligibility Test 2018 that is kset.uni-mysore.ac.in

Step 2: After reaching on home page select “Notification” tab that is available in menu bar.

Step 3: from drop down list applicants need to select “Notification of KSET 2017” tab.

Step 4: This will navigate you to new page which will open in PDF form.

Step 5: This PDF will include all notification details of Karnataka State Eligibility Test.

Step 6: Applicants can go through it carefully and ensure their eligibility for it.

Step 7: Now, eligible and interested candidates can go back to previous page and hit on “Apply Online” tab that is available in menu bar in right side.

Step 8: Enter your registered email address and password and then hit login tab.

Step 9: If you are new user then, first you need to register yourself for KSET.

Step 10: After KSET registration process fill your personal, education and other details in application form.

Step 11: Upload all required documents and scanned image of photograph and signature with application form.

Step 12: At last, recheck the details and make the payment of examination fee.

Step 13: Moreover, submit the application form of KSET and take the hard copy of it for future use.

Documents Required:

Following are the documents that are to be enclosed and to be sent with the application form.
The candidates should send the following documents with printout of their online application form in separate A4 size papers.
  • Application Form (one copy),
  • Attendance Slip (one copy).
  • Xerox copy of Bank Challan.
  • Copies of SC, ST, PWD, Cat-1, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB certificates duly attested by the Gazetted Officer.
  • Attested copy of SSLC Marks card is a must for verification of candidate name and parent’s name. In case there is a change of name at the later stage, enclose an attested copy of the authenticated document.
  • Attested copy of Final year PG Degree marks card and PG degree certificates.
