UGC NET 2018 Eligibility:

Qualification required:

According to the UGC NET 2018 Notification , To appear in the examination it is mandatory for candidate to have a master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% of marks.
Those candidates who are in final year of the master’s course are also eligible to apply for the examination.


Age limitations:

Junior Research Fellowship
  • Maximum age of candidates to appear in the examination or to fill up the UGC NET 2018 Form is 28 years
  • Relaxation will be given as:
  • 5 years to the candidates related to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category.
  • Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience. Candidates possessing LL.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age.
For assistant professor:
  • No age limit is there

UGC NET Application fees:

According to the UGC NET 2018 Notification June, Candidates who are interested in appearing in UGC NET 2018 Exam have to an amount of application fees as:

The UGC NET 2018 Online application amount will be submitted via credit/ debit card or through e-challan. Candidates submitting the fee through e-challan have to make the payment in cash to Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC bank.

Structure of examination:

Papers
The test will consist of three papers.
Exam Mode
Examination will be conducted in offline mode.
Candidates have to mark their responses on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet.
Number of Questions
Total 185 questions will be asked in NET which is divided into 3 papers.
Paper-I will have 60 questions, out of which candidate has to attempt only 50 questions;
Paper-II will have 50 questions and
Paper-III will have 75 questions.
Type of Questions
UGC NET 2018 Question Paper will have objective type questions.
Subjects
The Paper-I consists of General Aptitude Questions and the other two papers,
Paper-II and III contains questions related to the concerned subject.
Medium of Paper
 Candidate can choose the paper medium either Hindi or English.
Choice for paper medium can be exercised at the time of filling the form.
Exam Duration
Paper-1 and Paper-II will be of 11/4 hours while Paper-III will be of 21/2
Marking Scheme
Each correct answer will carry 2 marks.
Negative Marking
CBSE is not following negative marking scheme in UGC NET.

How to apply for UGC NET 2018:

  • From the home screen appeared hit on “Fill Application Form - NET July 2018”
  • A new page will come out then along with a dialog box having a tab as “hit here to apply for UGC NET July- 2018”
  • Hit on the link and fill up the online UGC NET 2018 Form
  • After filling up the details pay the requisite amount of application fees and complete all the details
  • Upload your scanned photographs and signature according to the size prescribed
  • Afterwards pay the application amount according to your category / Reservation.
  • At last complete all the details and recheck all of  them again
  • Hit on the final submission tab and take a print out of filled up UGC NET 2018 Application Form July and keep it safe for further usage
UGC NET 2018 Answer Key

Once the examination is completed the will release the UGC NET Answer Key 2018 approximately after days. The authorities of CBSE will declare the UGC NET 2018 result in the month of October-November 2018. The result will be available on the official website of CBSE NET i.e. cbsenet.nic.in. Aspirants who will appear in the examination can check their UGC NET 2018 Result by visiting the official portal and filling up the details required.

UGC NET Cut-Off 2018
