UGC NET 2018: Latest updates of UGC NET 2018!! Central Board of Secondary Education has made some changes regarding UGC NET 2018 last date. Now candidates can submit their CBSE UGC NET Application Form till 12 April 2018.

Maximum age limit for Junior Research Fellowship has been increased by two years. Now candidates who have 30 years of age can also apply for UGC NET 2018 Examination.

  • Recently, Central Board of Secondary Education has released UGC NET 2018 notification. NET is conducted annually by CBSE on behalf of UGC and this year exam is going to be conducted on July 8, 2018 to assess the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship.
  • After making changes in maximum age now board released last date extended notice. Applicants who have not applied for UGC NET 2018 yet now they can apply on or before 12 April 2018
  • Board is providing another chance to candidates who willing to apply but for some reasons, they didn’t apply. So, submit CBSE UGC NET Online Application Form till 12 April 2018 instead of 05 April 2018 and submit fees till 13 April 2018 instead of 06-04-2018

Latest Update!!! UGC NET 2018 Age Limit Has Been Increased

Under the CBSE UGC NET 2018, the maximum age limit has been increased by two years for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), i.e., the present upper age limit has been increased from 28 years to 30 years.

However there is no maximum age limit for attending the test of the net and eligibility. Students passing the CBSE UGC NET 2018 are eligible for the appointment of Assistant Professor to be taken out by any University or Commission.

UGC NET 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification Required for UGC NET 2018 July:

According to the UGC NET 2018 Notification, to appear in UGC NET Exam 2018 it is mandatory for candidate to have a Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 55% of marks.

Those candidates who are in final year of the master’s course are also eligible to apply for UGC National Eligibility Test 2018.


Age Limitation for UGC NET 2018 July:

For Junior Research Fellowship
  • Maximum age of candidates to appear in the examination or to fill up the UGC NET 2018 Form is 30 years for CBSE NET 2018. Relaxation will be given for CBSE UGC NET 2018 Notification as:
  • 5 years to the candidates related to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category for UGC NET 2018 Exam.
  • Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience.
  • Candidates possessing LL.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age.
For Assistant Professor
  • No age limit is there for UGC NET Exam Notification 2018.

According to the UGC NET 2018 Notification July, Candidates who are interested in appearing in UGC NET 2018 have to an amount of application fees as:

Mode of Payment:

The UGC NET 2018 Online Application amount will be submitted via credit/ debit card or through e-challan. Candidates submitting the fee through e-challan have to make the payment in cash to Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC bank for UGC NET 2018.


UGC NET Selection Process:

The candidates need to obtain minimum marks to be obtained in UGC NET 2018 for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor. They are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II.


UGC NET 2018 Exam Pattern:

Exam Mode: Examination will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates have to mark their responses on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet.
Number of Questions: Total 150 questions will be asked in NET which is divided into 2 papers. Paper-I will have 50 questions and Paper-II will have 100 questions. All questions are compulsory to attempt which will be given in UGC NET Question Papers.
Subjects: The Paper-I consists of General Aptitude Questions and the Paper-II contains questions related to the subject selected by candidates.
Type of Questions: All the papers will have objective type questions. Download UGC NET 2018 Syllabus from here and start preparation accordingly.
Medium of Paper: Candidate can choose the paper medium either Hindi or English. Choice for paper medium can be exercised at the time of filling the form.
Exam Duration: Paper-1 will be of 1 hour while Paper-II will be of 2 hours.
Negative Marking: CBSE is not following Negative Marking scheme in UGC NET.

Instructions to Fill CBSE UGC NET Online Application Form:
  • To fill the UGC NET 2018 Application Form, candidates first visit the official website that is cbsenet.nic.in and apply against UGC NET 2018.
  • From the home screen appeared hit on “Fill Application Form - NET July 2018” to UGC NET 2018 Apply Online.
  • A new page will come out then along with a dialog box having a tab as “hit here to apply for UGC NET July- 2018”
  • Hit on the link and fill up the online UGC NET 2018 Form
  • After filling up the details in Online Application Form and pay the requisite amounts of application fees and complete all the details given in UGC NET Online Application Form.
  • Upload your scanned photographs and signature according to the size prescribed
  • Afterwards pay the application amount according to your category / Reservation.
  • At last complete all the details in UGC NET 2018 Online Application Form and recheck all of  them again
  • Hit on the final submission tab and take a print out of filled up UGC NET 2018 Application Form July and keep UGC NET Application Form safe for further usage
UGC NET 2018 Answer Key:

Once the examination is completed the will release the UGC NET Answer Key 2018 approximately after days. With the help of the solution PDF candidates can evaluate their performance that what answers they have given in the examination.

The authorities of CBSE will declare the UGC NET 2018 Result in the month of October-November 2018. The result will be available on the official website of CBSE NET i.e. cbsenet.nic.in. Aspirants who will appear in the examination can check their UGC NET 2018 Result by visiting the official portal and filling up the details required.
