NIMCET 2018 Application Form, NIT MCA Notification, Eligibility, Exam Date



NIMCET 2018: A notification regarding NIMCET has been released by National Institute of Technology Durgapur. Accordingly, the candidates are suggested to read all the eligibility norms provided on this page and then fill the online application form. Those aspirants who are seeking admission in NIT for MCA course have to appear in the NIMCET entrance exam on the date stated in the below given table. Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates should be an Indian citizen with minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6 CGPA for SC/ST) in 3 years full-time B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT or related course.
  • Contenders having BTech /BE or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institute.
  • Aspirants having B.Sc/B.Sc (Hons)/BCA/BIT of 3 years full-time from Open universities are also eligible to apply, but that should be approved by UGC/AICTE & DEC of Govt. of India.
  • The percentage of the marks will be calculated on the basis of scores of all subjects studied including language/ optional & additional subjects (if any).

Application Fee:

Candidates (Open / OBC Category) are required to pay application fee of Rs. 2,000 and other SC/ST Category Candidates need to submit fee of Rs. 1000/- through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.

NIMCET Exam Pattern 2018:
  • Below given is the detailed description of the Exam Pattern. You can have a glance!!!
  • The questions paper will have 4 sections- Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English.
  • The question paper will be in the form of English language.
  • The exam will be conducted through offline mode that is through pen and paper based mode.
  • Duration of the examination is 2 and half hours.
  • There will be total number of questions 120 MCQ type questions in the exam.
  • For every correct answer 4 marks will be awarded to the candidates and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Way to Fill NIMCET Online Application Form:
  • Candidates are required to visit the official site that is www.nitdgp.ac.in
  • On the home page of official site you need to follow and select the appropriate link related to desirability.
  • Applicants if you are a new user then hit on “New Registration” link.
  • In the “New User Registration” webpage, the applicants need to fill all the fields properly.
  • Fill all the basic details carefully in the form to receive the User ID and Password through Mail and/or SMS.
  • After the submission you will be able to receive a User ID and Password and then you can login to fill the application form.
  • Registered candidates go to the “Login” section and login with previous id and password.
  • Fill form with all essential details correctly in an appropriate manner and upload your scanned photograph and signature along with the application.
  • After that you need to pay the application fee.
  • Recheck the form after the payment and then finally you can hit on “submit” button.
  • Candidates are suggested to take out the printed hard copy of the generated application form.
  • Enclose all relevant documents and send it by speed post / registered post to the following address along with copies of mark-sheets and pass-certificates and Bachelor’s Degree along with payment receipt of processing fee.

List of Documents Need to be attached with Application:
  • Application form (printed copy) with duly-signed by candidates in each page of the application form
  • Payment receipt
  • Copies of class 10th or SSC or its equivalent exam mark sheets
  • Category certificate if applicable
  • Appearing candidates need to submit the certificate issued by the head of the institution.
NIMCET Admit Card 2018:
  • Admit Card will be available in the first week of May, 2018.
  • Candidates can download the hall tickets from the official website of the organization.
  • It is essential for all the candidates to produce their respective admit card at the examination centre.
  • Candidates will be able to receive the NIMCET Admit Card through post.
  • Aspirants have to bring the same for the process of counseling and at the time of admission.
NIMCET Result 2018:
  • Aspirants can download the NIMCET Result from the official web portal of NIMCET.
  • Results will be available on the official website in the 2nd week of June, 2018.
  • You are suggested to take out the printed copy of the results for the future usage.
  • As per the scores obtained in the exam, ranks will be balloted to the candidates.
  • You can follow the online procedure and fill the choices of the institutions.
  • According to the ranks, candidates will be able to participate in the NIMCET Counselling for admission into MCA course as offered by NITs.
  • For the further process of admission students need to report personally at the college.
