The online registration and choice filling process is going

JEE MAIN Counselling
Eligibility Criteria for JEE
MAIN Counselling 2019:
Top 220000 qualified contenders in JEE Main will be eligible
for JEE Advanced 2019.For getting final selection in ITI; candidate also has to
qualify JEE Advanced after qualifying in mains exams. Candidates who have paid
seat acceptance fee but not accepted the seat are eligible for admission
through JEE MAIN Counselling 2019.
Eligibility for Admission to
NITs, IIITs and CFTIs:
B.E/B.TECH: Passed
10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with
one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
B.ARCH./B.PLANNING: Candidates must have Passed 10+2 examination
with Mathematics.
Eligibility for Admission to
other Institutions:
The above policy could also be adopted by other Technical
Institutions participating in counselling. In case a State opts to admit
students in the engineering Colleges affiliated to State Universities, the
State may prepare separate rank list based on criteria decided by them.
JEE Main Counselling
Procedure:
Applicants who have qualified in JEE Main
Examination can apply for this Counselling. There will be six stages in the
counselling; a candidate must attend all these stages to get the final
allotment confirmation and join the course. Following is the list of stages:
- Counselling Registration
- Choice Filling & Locking
- Seat Allotment
- Fee Payment & Seat Acceptance
- Reporting at Allotted Reporting Centre
- Reporting to Allotted Institution
Seats Reservation for Josaa
counseling
Aspirants belonging to reserved categories will get relaxation
at the time of seat allotments. Additional benefits shall be provided to them
admissible under government rules and regulations. Various categories are
stated below:
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non Creamy Layer (NCL)
- Scheduled Castes (SC)
- Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- (Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability

Procedure to Be Followed For JEE MAIN
Counselling 2019
Step-I -Online Registration:
- First of all, visit the official website of organization that is josaa.nic.in.
- Candidates need to login through roll no and password provided to candidates through JEE main 2019.
- Hit on “login” tab and press “I Agree” button.
- Now, registration form of JoSSA will be displayed on your screen
- Go through the instructions carefully and fill all the essential details to register yourself.
- Now, press “confirm registration” button.
Step-2: Online Choice Filling
and Locking:
- Candidates have to select “Choice Available” option and Select Institute Type, Institute Name & Academic Programme you are applying for.
- You have to press “Choice Filling & Locking” option.
- Choose Colleges & Courses according to your interest in decreasing order by pressing on “choice Interchange” option
- Lock the choices before the deadline by pressing on the option “Lock Choice”.
- Choice locking will be made after each round of counselling.
Step-3: Seat Allotment:
- Seat Allotment will be done on the basis of reservation norms and choices filled and vacancies.
- Candidates will get an Email/SMS regards to the seat allotment after a few days of choice lock.
- You should download the seat allotment letter.
Step-4: Fee Payment &
Seat Acceptance:
- You have to pay certain amount of acceptance fees to confirm the allotment of seats.
- Candidates have to deposit the fee via SBI Net Banking/e-Challan.
- Verify all the documents at any reporting center for provisional seat acceptance.
- A provisional admission letter will be issued on completion of the process.
Note: Previous year, the seat acceptance fee is
Rs.20000 for SC/ST/SC-PwD/ST-PwD/GEN-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD & for all other
Candidates Rs.45000./-
Step-5: Reporting to
Allocated Institution:
Candidates have to report at the allotted college along with
all the original documents and certificates.
