Common Admission Test is commonly called as CAT which is the MBA
entrance test organized by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) on
rotation basis. On the basis of CAT Score 2018, shortlisted applicants will be
able to appear in further selection process that is Group Discussion/Personal
Interview round.
CAT Exam Pattern 2018
Candidates who are going to attend CAT 2018 Exam must be familiar
with the CAT Test Pattern before starting preparation. In CAT Exam Marks Pattern,

- CAT Exam is the computer based test (CBT) which will be conducted in 650 test centres.
- Total three sections are included in Common Admission Test/ CAT Pattern i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Ability.
- In CAT Question Paper both MCQ as well as non-MCQ type questions will be asked by candidates.
- Total 100 questions will be asked in the CAT Exam.

QA Paper
Pattern:
The Quantitative Ability section of CAT Exam will contain the
highest no. of questions i.e. 34 as compared to other sections. In QA Section,

On-screen Calculator –
A non-scientific on-screen calculator will
be provided to help candidates with basic solutions. CAT Exam Takers have to
use the mouse to carry out basic solutions on the on-screen calculator.
Number of questions –
- Common Admission Test 2018 contains total 100 questions. In Verbal and Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Ability sections, total 34 questions will be available. However Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section includes total 32 questions.
CAT Marking Scheme
- According to latest CAT Exam Pattern, common entrance test will be of 300 marks and includes questions from three sections which are Quantitative Ability,Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning.
- Aspirant will get 3 marks for every correct answer.
- There will be deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
- No marks will be given for un attempted question.
- The test will be non MCQs type questions and a time limit of 60 minutes for every section will be given.
