Bihar Scholarship 2018: For the help of minority and very backward students, Bihar Cabinet has approved to grant Bihar Scholarship of Rs. 1,000 per month to the students studying in minority welfare hostels.

Bihar Scholarship OBC/SC/ST And Minorities:

To provide financial support to minority and very backward students Bihar State Government is going to provide Bihar Scholarship Minority under Chief Minister's Minority Welfare Hostel Grant Scheme and Chief Minister's Backward Classes Hostel Grant Scheme.

Bihar Scholarship for Minorities:

On Tuesday, In order to help the minority and very backward students under Minority Welfare Department, Bihar Cabinet has approved to grant scholarship of Rs 1,000 per month to those students who are studying in minority welfare hostels.

Principal Secretary, Cabinet Coordination Department Arun Kumar Singh and Home and Minority Welfare Department jointly provide the amount under Chief Minister's Minority Welfare Hostel Grant Scheme and Chief Minister's Backward Classes Hostel Grant Scheme.

Likewise, students of backward and upper- backward class studying in hostels will get grant of Rs.1000 per month. Scholarship will be provided to approx. 3350 students studying in 33 minority welfare hostels in the state.

Bihar Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should be a resident of Bihar.
• Applicant should be from Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes etc.
• The applicant’s family income should not exceed 1 lakh.
• Only two candidates of one parent are eligible.
• Applicant should be studying from any recognized institution of Bihar.
• The applicant has not have availed any other scholarship scheme by the state Government.
