candidates who wish to get admission into UG engineering courses in private and

KEAM Eligibility Criteria
Those who are going to apply for Kerala
Engineering Entrance Examination must check KEAM Exam Eligibility Criteria
first, if you are eligible then proceed to apply.
Nationality:
- Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible but they will not entitle for any reservation.
Students applying for Kerala Engineering
Entrance Examination should carefully ensure category wise KEAM Eligibility
Details. The categories are as follows -
- Keralite
- Non-Keralite (Category-I)
- Non-Keralite (Category-II).
One must be of Kerala origin. Students
serving as All India Service Officers in Kerala but belonging to
non-Keralite can also apply but they will not be eligible for reservation
or fee concessions.
Non-Keralite
(Category-I):
- Candidates not belonging to Kerala origin but pursuing the qualifying course in Kerala
- His/her parents are non-Keralite but serving in Kerala to serve Indian Government/ Defense Service.
- Candidate pursuing the qualifying course in Kerala and his/her parents are non-Keralite but serving in Government of Kerala for minimum2 years of period are eligible
- Candidates who have been studies for 5 years in Kerala but not origin of kerala are also eligible in this category
- Those students who are not belonging to either Keralite or Non-Keralite (Category-I) fall under Non-Keralite (Category-II) and they will get admission under Government Seats or Management Quota.
Points to be Noted
- Candidates are here by informed that when the Keralite and Non-Keralite I candidates are not available for admission, they who falling under this category will get admission to the Government seats in Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges only
- Non-Keralite (Category-I and Category-II) will not be eligible for Communal/ Special/ Persons with Disabilities reservation or any fee concession.
To apply or KEAM Exam 2019 one must
attained 17 years on the 31st December 2019. There will be not any upper age
limit for Engineering, Agriculture and B.Pharma courses but Medical and Allied
course upper age limit will be considered as per NEET-UG 2019.
Educational Qualification:
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
(CEE), Kerala is going to conduct the KEAM entrance exam to provide admission
to following courses.
Courses Offered:
Engineering Courses: B.Tech [including
B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering/Food Engineering & Technology/Dairy
Technology/Food Technology /Food Science & Technology)]
- Medical Courses: MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS.
- Allied Courses: B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons.) Forestry, BVSc. & AH, BFSc.
- Architecture Course: B.Arch.
- Pharmacy Course: B.Pharm.

|
Passed HSC from Kerala or equivalent exam with 50%
marks in Biology/Biotechnology separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology/Biotechnology together.
Also qualified NEET-UG for admission in MBBS/BDS
courses.
|
B.Tech
|
Passed HSC with 50% marks in Mathematics separately
and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together with 45%
aggregate marks under management quota.
|
BAMS/BHMS
|
Passed HSC from Kerala or equivalent exam with 50%
marks in Biology separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
together.
|
BUMS
|
Passed class 12th or its equivalent exam with
50% aggregate marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and
50%marks in Biology separately.
One must have cleared class 10th Examination with
Urdu /Arabic/ Persian language
|
B.Sc (Hons.) Agri. / BFSc/ B.Sc (Hons.)
Forestry
|
Passed HSC from Kerala with 50% marks in Biology
separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology together.
|
B.V.Sc. & AH
|
Candidates should have secured at least 50%
aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in HSC or its
equivalent from Kerala.
|
B.Arch
|
12th or equivalent exam from recognized Board with
Mathematics and securing 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by
Central/State Governments with 50%aggregate marks with Mathematics
OR
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years
of schooling, with minimum 50% aggregate and they should have Mathematics as
a compulsory subject.
Note: candidate should possess a valid NATA
score.

B.Pharma
|
HSC or its equivalent from Kerala with 50% marks in
Biology/Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, chemistry or
Biology/Mathematics taken together.

KEAM Qualifying Marks Eligibility
Marks Relaxation
For Socially Backward Candidates:
Those who are belonging to socially and educationally
Backward Communities must have passed qualifying examination with only 45%
marks in Mathematics/Biology and 45% marks in Mathematics/Biology, Physics and
Chemistry put together.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories
under socially and educationally Backward Communities need to score 40% marks
in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together in the qualifying
examination.
Marks Relaxation
For Physically Disabled Candidates:
Physically Disabled Category Candidates will
have to secure 5% marks in qualifying exam for Engineering and Medical Allied
Courses. They may get 45% marks in Mathematics/Biology and 45 % marks in
Mathematics/Biology/ Physics and Chemistry altogether.
