UPSC Geologist Exam Syllabus Has Been Changed and Will Be Effective From 2020:

Union Public Service Commission has revised the examination pattern, UPSC Geologist Syllabi. The new UPSC Geologist Paper Pattern will be effective from 2020 onwards to give sufficient preparation time to candidates.

The new Combined Geo-Scientist Examination will be of three Tier, Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test. Exam name has been changed to “Combined Geo-Scientist Examination” in place of “Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination”.

Preliminary Examination will screen the candidates for taking the Main Examination (Stage–II). The Main Examination will have three Papers for each Stream and all Papers will be of descriptive type.
