Post Matric Scholarship for minority:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students
who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous
final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all
sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh

Post Matric Scholarship
Objective of Post Matric Scholarship:
The objective of the scheme is to award
scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections
of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher
education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance
their employability.
Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility 2018:
- Post Matric Scholarship is being offered to those students who are physically disabled and pursuing studies of post-matric level (class 11th to post graduation).
- To apply for this scholarship, it is necessary for the students must have more than 40 % disability.
- Only those candidates can apply whose family annual income is less than 2.5 lacs per annum from all sources.
Post-Matric Scholarship Reward 2018:
- There are total 17,000 scholarships sanctioned for this scheme. The benefits offered to the selected candidates are as follows:
- Day scholars will get the maintenance allowance of up to INR 750/- per month and hostellers will get up to INR 1600/- per month
- Reimbursement of up to INR 1.5 lac per annum for non-refundable fees will be given to the scholars.
- All the scholars will get the disability allowance of up to INR 4000/- per annum (depending upon the type of disability).
- Also, book allowance of INR 1500/- per annum will be given to the selected students.
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme Selection
Criteria:
- As the number of scholarships for minorities available in a year is fixed and limited, it is necessary to lay down preference for selection.
- Students from BPL families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order.
- The renewal applications would be fully exhausted before the new applications are considered. The scholarships shall be provided for the entire course of the academic year.
Earmarking for Girl Students:
30% scholarship is earmarked for girls
students of each minority community in a State/UT which is transferable to male
students of that community in case of non-availability of female students in
that community in the concerned State/UT. 30% is the floor and not the ceiling
for eligible girl students.
Post Matric Scholarship Renewal Scheme:
The scholarship, once awarded, may be
renewed during the next academic year of the course on the production of
certificate that the student has secured 50% marks in the previous year’s
examination (provided the students pursues the same course and same Institute/School).

How to fill Post Matric Scholarship
Application Form?
- Logon to the official website of the authority that is scholarships.gov.in
- Go to the “Central schemes” section present at the top menu bar of the homepage
- Then follow “Ministry of Minority affairs” “Department Of Empowerment of person with disability”, “ministry of Labour And Employment” links.
- Then you have to press “Post-matric Scholarship Scheme” link. Select ‘Apply’ link present in front of the suitable section of scheme.
- Go through the Post Matric Scholarship 2018 information available on the page, read it carefully.
- Then press “New User? Register” tab which is available at the top of the home page.
- After that submit Application ID and password to login
- Then fill Post Matric Scholarship Form 2018 with required details. Upload passport size photograph, documents, and certificates along with the application form.
- At last submit the Post Matric Scholarship 2018 application form and take print out of PMS online Form 2018 for future use
